There have been many helping hands on the farm this season and for the next few weeks I’ll also be joined by a summer student. Hurray for Dani and not having to do all the harvesting alone! Thanks to all of these extra nimble fingers some areas in the garden are looking orderly and photo worthy! In other areas we’ll still be battling the grass all summer, but happily that won’t stop the crops from growing.
There are a few new things to look forward to this week, including the first green cabbage. Some of you will remember these pointy little beauties with the most tender of leaves, they are perfect for summer salads when the only thing you want to cook on is the BBQ. Speaking of BBQ’s there will also be Fennel in your shares this week and fresh garlic too. Remember, fresh garlic doesn’t store for very long, so eat it up this week!
