We have a great haul of ripe Tomatoes this week. Last week’s heat combined with the rain means we also have lots of cracked ones too. I wish I could spend half of my day in the kitchen processing them into sauces, salsas and such.
No time for that though, we’ve got Beans to harvest! I’ll have to be satisfied with a little sauce making here and there.
Today we were able to plant the very last of our seedlings for the fall. A little late, but fingers crossed we’ll have a late start to winter. If so, we’ll get a bounty of Radicchio and some Rutabaga too.
Our winter squash patch is filling in nicely, the Acorn Squash will be along in no time, and it looks like there’ll be lots of good-sized Delicata Squash from a new variety we tried this year.
This week’s line-up:
Beans
Carrots
Summer Squash (Zucchini)
Arugula
Tomatoes
Leeks
Peppers
Basil
Salad mix
Parsley
Sincerely,
Jenny
