We had a little rain this past weekend and now what looks like a few sunny warm days coming up, so there should be lots of ripe Tomatoes and Peppers coming along again this week. There will be lots of extra cracked Tomatoes again too (I just can’t keep up) so plan your sauce making accordingly!
The sunny weather will also give me a chance to harvest the rest of the onions from the field. We have a nice crop of big red onions this year along with the usual yellow storage variety I like to grow.
We will have beans again this week and then there may be a break while we wait for the next two plantings. Some of you might have noticed the occasional yellow and purple beans in the mix. Because of the drought, the germination on those two varieties was very uneven, most plants are just starting to flower now so we will be seeing more of them soon.
