There are so many things to be thankful for today.
For one, it is a beautiful day. Second, not only do I have the right to vote, but it only took three minutes. So let me say thank-you to those often forgotten women who fought for that right not so very long ago. Third, I have a wonderful and supportive extended family, two of whom came to the farm yesterday and helped me plant somewhere between 1,600, and 2,000 garlic cloves!
It always feels so good to have that final crop of the season in the ground and we had perfect weather for it too.>It looks like there is some rain moving in tomorrow, so I will keep this brief so I can get back outside and throw some some fall rye seed down in the hope of keeping the soil better covered next spring, should we get another soggy one.
This weeks veggies are positively autumnal
