Horsefly Repellant & The Fruits of our Labour

Organic Pesticide

Hello,

It’s going to be a busy week, and I have to be honest: working in this ridiculous heat is not a total delight. Thankfully slices of heirloom tomato on Peter’s fresh bread with a little basil on top are delightful!

Or as my children might say, it isn’t good, it is divine

So, although I’m waiting impatiently for the much-needed but elusive rain and am feeling wiped out from the relentless heat and tasks we just haven’t been able to get to, every now and then I remember to pause and enjoy the literal fruits of my labour.

I hope all of you get to enjoy those moments too, or at least some of these delicious tomatoes!

You’ll be able to find them and yours truly, at Dufferin Grove in Toronto on Thursday or at Stirling’s Market in the Village on Friday.

After we load our CSA members up tomorrow, I will update the inventory on our new web store too.

Supplemental hilarity this week was provided this week by our organic horsefly and deerfly repellant. Another farmer recommended them; we’ll let you know the results of our study.

Sincerely,
— Jenny
