October Greenhouse: Adding Doors

This week we’ve had plenty of frosty motivation to finally finish the greenhouse doors. Now all we need to do are a few repairs, install a fan and heat source and we can use it to start next season’s seedlings in the Spring!

If we don’t get to all that, at the very least we’ll have somewhere to grow a few fall greens and a nice place to hang out on sunny winter days. Oh, but let’s not think about Winter quite yet!

Before the cold snap on the weekend we were able to harvest a pile of hot peppers, including some mildly spicy stuffing or roasting  Anaheim Chili Peppers (Joe E. Parker), that I kept forgetting to give you. They will be in your share this week.

For those of you who are interested in Chickens, the hens and Mr. Edward Gladstone Psycluckerton Scissorhands  (Ted for short) seem to be settling in enough to start leaving us the occasional egg.

For those of you who’ve asked about the winter shares, we have decided not to so them this year, however, please remember that after next week you can always come and find me at the Dufferin Market for as long as I have any produce to sell!

Peppers, some hot.
