Name That Rooster!

Setting Up

This time last year my belly was so big I quit coming to Toronto. Now I’ve got my little market helper in tow! We are looking forward to bringing you lots of great harvests for rest of October.

The warm weather this past weekend was not only perfect for Thanksgiving, but also gave me a chance to get a good start on some garden clean-up. Big sections of the garden are ready to be cleared and put to bed for winter.

The Squash and Potatoes have been brought in and soon the rest of the beets will have follow. Most of the greens and other roots will be happy for another month or so and we are still crossing our fingers for some (late) fall Broccoli.

If we aren’t able to harvest any before the end of the CSA, we’ll send along some Broccoli Greens, they taste sweet like Broccoli and can be used just like Kale.

In other news: no eggs yet, but the chickens are settling in. Our rooster needs a name, thus far he is the quietest rooster I have ever met. Any suggestions?
