April Update

Greenstuff - April Update

Congratulations everyone, we made it through a very strange March and it looks like we have some beautiful April days coming up to lift our spirits.

If you are able to find a quiet road near some wetlands to take a walk, I highly recommend it. The birds and Spring Peepers are out in full force and it is almost impossible not to be swept up in their optimism. Not to mention, a little sunshine goes a long way.

I would like to send out a warm welcome to new members, and many thanks to all of you who have been able to pay upfront. I know that many people’s lives and livelihoods have been disrupted.

In light of this, I wanted encourage anyone who is concerned about not being able to meet the payment deadlines to simply send me a note when you sign-up and we can find a schedule that works for both of us.

Having access to healthy food is as important as ever and many of you have stuck with me during hard times on the farm so I am happy to help however I can.

Ernest has been enjoying “farm school” as he calls it and has been helping me get all sorts of seeds started as well as being a great Max entertainer while we are out doing some super early garden work. I took a gamble and planted peas extra early because, well, peas are delicious and I want to eat them as soon as possible! I will plant some more next week, just in case, so maybe we will have double peas. I also noticed the garlic is already popping up out in the field, hurray!

There has been an increase in interest this Season, as many people search for alternatives to the grocery store. Returning members please fill out the Sign-Up form as I only have a limited number of shares, make sure you are on my list!

Sincerely,
Jenny
