Back to School Goodbyes

regarding the beet - Back to School Goodbyes

Hello Farm Friends,

I’m not sure how the end of the Summer Holidays snuck up on me this year, but it sure did!

I know most of you don’t have a chance to meet the team behind all of your veggies, but Niamh, who has been working quietly and without complaint all Summer, despite the heat and endless weeding will be working her last day tomorrow, helping with one final CSA harvest before she heads back to University. Sofie, who brings a burst of energy each week when she comes for a few hours, worked her last day last week and will be heading back to school too.

Thank-you Niamh and Sofie for helping make it a great season so far!

The kids don’t mind jumping in to help once in a while, but with them heading back to school too it’s good that Stephanie is able to stick around for the rest of the Season so I won’t be on my own just yet. I’m hoping we will have our work cut out for us with many weeks of good harvests yet.

This week those of you who love your green beans will be happy to see them back on the table along with our Spicy Salad Mix. We will also be harvesting beautiful Beets and what will probably be the last of the Carrots until our Fall crop sizes up.

The Peppers are starting to get some colour and there are lots of Tomatoes if we can get them before they crack.

For those of you who come to the Stirling Market, I won’t be there this week, but our friend Lauren has agreed to bring my veggies, thanks Lauren!

Unfortunately our online orders will be on pause ’till next week.

Happy last week of August everyone,

Sincerely,
— Jenny
