Hello Farm Friends,

We have Tomatoes! Well, seedlings that is. If you are like me and decided to wait for this cold snap to pass before planting your tomatoes out, we will have some seedlings ready for you this weekend. Peter kindly added a page to our website for anyone who wants to pre-order specific varieties (there are too many of course). While you are at it, you can now order your Lovely Lettuce Mix, Rhubarb, and other Spring things from our online store.

I’ve added a Friday afternoon farm pick-up option until the Stirling Market in the Village is open. If you order this evening, you could be eating salad with Friday dinner!

For those of you who would prefer to just drop by for seedlings and take your chances on varieties, I’ll have a small stand set up at the farm Friday, and Saturday from 4 ’till 7pm and Sunday all day weather permitting.

Saturday morning I’ll be at the Cobourg Market so if you’re out in that direction feel free to put in a request for specific varieties and I’ll bring them with me to Market!

While I am talking about dates and times, I wanted to let folks know that I am thinking of adding a Friday CSA pick-up option for the Summer CSA. Some folks have mentioned that they are looking forward to going back to Tuesday, but for folks who would prefer to pick-up on Friday I think we could try a CSA pick-up right at the Market in Stirling.

If you’ve already signed up for a Summer share and want the Friday option, just send me a message and I’ll add you to the Friday list. Otherwise I’ll assume you’re sticking with Tuesday.

We still have about ten spots left in the CSA for the Summer, so if you (or someone you know) live in Stirling, you could pick up your veggies right in town!

This week is Niamh’s first week back and she was welcomed by a 30 degree first day, not nice, but she survived and we will have lots of those to come I’m sure, even if it was only 4 degrees this morning. Good thing my staff all know to bring many layers of clothing. I just hope the plants can take it too, there are definitely some pretty crispy leaf tips out there right now.
